Networking is a huge part of success in business, we want to make sure we not only create a good first impression, but also leave our interaction buddy with a positive, lasting impression... we want to be remembered for the RIGHT reasons.
A good conversationalist knows that in order to create moments that people will remember, they need to guide a conversations towards topics that release dopamine.

Dopamine is a neuro-transmitter that produces pleasure, it's linked to the reward centre of the brain and it makes us feel GOOD, like when you win a contest, a friend gives you a present or someone 'Hearts' your selfie on Instagram, your brain will release dopamine and you will instantly feel good.
Your mission is to approach interactions on the hunt for dopamine releasing topics, you need to be the conductor of conversations, the GPS that knows when to make a u-turn, re-routes when you go off track, and highlights points of interest along the conversational journey.
You will know when you have administered a shot of dopamine in your conversation buddy; you might see them lean in, their eyebrows will become raised (provided they don't have botox 😆 ), they may smile, their body will turn to engage more in the conversation. Just trust your instincts, you will know when you hit a dopamine topic.
